Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences was established in September 2011 to systematize the pharmaceutical research capabilities necessary to cultivate creative pharmaceutical scientists with advanced pharmaceutical research and development capabilities. Professors and researchers from the graduate school pharmacy department participate together to develop new drugs from basic to clinical trials. It plays a role in integrating the entire development cycle research field in a more organized manner. It is located in CHA Bio Complex, an international industry-academia-research medicluster specialized in new drug development, forming an optimal new drug development network. Based on this infrastructure, we aim to establish ourselves as a prototype of an Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in name and reality by supporting the research and education necessary to foster creative pharmaceutical scientists.

Practical training pharmacy

The practical training pharmacy at CHA University’s College of Pharmacy is a space where students can practice pharmacy work before being dispatched to the field and is equipped with a prescription dispensing room and patient consultation room. With the Palm 2000 and DIK Plus programs installed, students can practice the entire process from prescription entry to prescription audit, DUR, and dispensing. A variety of medications, including oral medications are provided, so that students can practice preparing homemade, powdered, and injectable medications. It can be said to be special in that a VCR is installed in the patient counseling room to record medication guidance and patient counseling performed by students, and then provide feedback from the instructor.

CHA Hospital Group

CHA Hospital Group, which started as CHA Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1960, opened the era of Korea’s first specialized hospital in 1984 when CEO Cha Gwang-ryeol established Gangnam CHA Hospital. In the 1980s, Gangnam CHA Hospital and the Women’s Medical Research Institute pioneered infertility research, which was minimal in Korea, and gained global recognition for infertility and reproductive medicine as it was introduced in American textbooks and Time magazine. He established Bundang CHA Hospital in 1995, Gumi CHA Hospital in 1999, and CHA University. In the 2000s, he established a hospital in Los Angeles, USA, an advanced medical country, thereby raising the status of Korean medicine.

In addition, the bio research company CHA Biotech was established to lay the foundation for the development of blockbuster cell therapy products.
In 2010, CHAUM, known as a new model of future medicine, was established and solidified the status of a global CHA hospital in the world. In 2014, Japan Cha Hospital Tokyo TCC was established and is recognized as the only medical institution in Korea that has expanded into both the United States and Japan, which are medically advanced countries in name and reality. In addition, we established CHA Bio Complex, a futuristic research institute where industry, academia, and research can create new bio drugs through practical convergence and exchange, and declared our entry into the bio industry. In 2015, we established Asia’s largest ‘CHA Hospital Women’s Medical Research Institute Seoul Station Center’ to lead global infertility treatment and present a new model for a future infertility center. CHA Medical Group is constantly challenging its dream of becoming the global No. 1 medical group.
